A Surrealistic Fairytale
Fishes and Wishes is a tale about a character that loses his pet whale and embarks on a series of surrealistic adventures to find it. The story is loosely based on dreams that I had over a decade ago. These were turned into a series of drawings, and years later further developed into a loose, dreamlike narrative. Original limericks were then added to create a poetic adventure.
Fishes and Wishes is 50 pages in length, and each page is hand-illustrated and hand-lettered. It is a whimsical story of self discovery. Because of the surreal and unpredictable nature of dreams, there's something for everyone in this book. Below are a few teaser pages to give you the flavour of the adventure.
